Had to leave home early this morning for an appointment out in rural Trinidad (a most welcome change of atmosphere) so only now getting back to the computer.
Naturally, the three dailies, the Express, the Guardian (not a permalink) and Newsday have extensive coverage of yesterday’s events, but you’ll also want to read Taran Rampersad’s views on the incident and Sirius provides some screen caps from the television news and lists the dates and times of the four bomb blasts which have taken place this year.
And Sinpo makes the point: “At least when bombs go off in other countries, someone makes a statement detailing the reasons why. In this case, no one has said anything.” Which begs the question: will the people currently in custody, if they are indeed found to be the ones behind with the bombings, reveal their motive? Unless of course it’s simply about sowing chaos in the country, which, depending on who you are, may well have its uses.

You know, I really don’t have a view on it. I’d just like it to stop, along with other political and criminal (and both!) nonsense that is tearing a good country apart.
On the flip side, it’s good to live in San Fernando. Apparently bombers don’t know that life exists below the light house.
