A longer one than usual (one of these days I’ll settle on standard length–or maybe I won’t) in which I run a clip from the Evil Genius Chronicles, explain the meaning of “podsafe”, get a bit literary, and justify the high proportion of Haitian music on the podcast, among other things.
You can listen to it in any of the following ways:
– simply click to stream in your browser, or right-click and save to download the file to your computer
– using our nifty Online Player, which allows you to play the latest podcast as well as several of the previous ones

Podcast #4 is your best yet! The music and commentary were delightful as always, but what put this one over the top for me was the excerpt from DBC Pierre’s piece on POS. Sometimes we Trinis don’t always appreciate what we have, which is a marvellous, complex, energetic, beautiful, dysfunctional gem of a country. Can’t wait for Podcast #5, although this new habit is not doing squat to help with my procrastination!
Great show, once again. You and Dave Slusher have been hitting on an issue that feels very important to me as a visual artist and an avid music fan. How can podcasting and the Internet form the most direct line possible between an artist and his/her audience? Personally speaking, I would always prefer to purchase music in a way that would most benefit the artist. So, I hope more musicians see the wisdom and value of sharing their music and thoughts through podcasts.
Two opinions I wish to express as a dedicated and fascinated fan of podcasts:
1.) WHATEVER length show you deliver suits me fine. I think the content and your mood should determine this.
2.) An intermittent release schedule for shows doesn’t bother me in the least. I prefer quality over quantity & punctuality.
These two concerns feel like holdover constrictions from broadcast radio.
Thanks again!
I love your cast – great job. Thanks for the music and thoughtful commentary. Please don’t worry about the cast length. I find that when I listen, I don’t notice how long it is, and in fact find myself disappointed when it’s over
.
Please keep up the great work…
Andrew
